Raymond walked into the bar wearing his usual black coat over a white shirt with black pants and his black combat boots. The sound of police sirens blare through the door as he walks in. Some of the patrons look towards the door nervously but relax a bit when they notice the new comers appearance. 'Interesting to find an establishment open after what's happened. Raymond though as he pulled up a seat.
The place was a bit old fashioned, bottles were lined up on shelves behind the counter in front of a glass back. The bar was to the right as you walked in, straight ahead was an alcove that held an old pool table that was being used by a few of the patrons. There were at least a dozen seats at the bar and half a dozen booths along the wall opposite the bar. A few of the booths had people in them but they seemed uninterested in the stranger.
The bartender shined one of the glass mugs behind the bar as he gave the new arrival with a strange look but decided to not scare off the customer, they were rare enough at the moment.
Raymond sat and waited for the bartender to ask his order, trying not to be rude. Eventually he walked over. "Whaddya want bub?" The bartender asked, continuing to shine the mug. "Do you happen to have just plain soda?" Raymond asked. "Sure, but you better have some money, you pay upfront or you don't get anything, pub policy." The bartender stated as he stopped shining the glass. He placed the rag on the counter and held out his right hand. Raymond reached into one of his coat pockets and pulled out a crumpled $10. "Will this do?" Raymond asked, handing it to the bartender. "Sure." he says as he walks down the bar. He pushes a button on the cash register and the register opens. He places the money in the drawer and closes it. He then places the mug he had been shining on the bar and pulls up one of the spigots. He preses a button with the pepsi logo on it and fills up the glass to the brim. He then passes it to Raymond and goes to shining another of the glasses.
